Shenzhen, China – November 29, 2024 – The highly anticipated 2024 Shentie Real Estate King Cup International Badminton Open (hereinafter referred to as the “King Cup”) held a press conference revealing the lineup of players and special guests. Founded by Lin Dan, the King Cup is set to become one of the most influential badminton events in China, following the China Open and China Masters. The event will take place from December 27 to 29 at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center, commonly known as the "Spring Cocoon."
A Premier Event Supported by Leading Organizations
Under the guidance of the China Badminton Association and hosted by the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports and Nanshan District Government, the King Cup aims to establish itself as a landmark badminton event in China. Co-organized by Shenzhen Yulin Cultural and Sports Technology Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Nanshan Culture and Sports Industry Co., Ltd., and operated by China Resources Cultural and Sports Development Co., Ltd., the event also receives significant backing from the Guangdong Provincial Badminton Association, Shenzhen Badminton Association, and Shentie Real Estate Group Co., Ltd.

The King Cup’s logo, inspired by a badminton shuttlecock and designed to resemble a trophy, integrates the letters “KING CUP,” symbolizing the event’s global diversity and inclusivity. The theme slogan, “King of Badminton, Crown Your Dreams,” embodies the spirit of excellence and aligns with the innovative energy of Nanshan District.

Format: Single-elimination, featuring 8 top players and 10 matches (including main and exhibition matches)
Prize Pool: Totaling 2.4 million CNY, with 1.1 million CNY for the champion, 500,000 CNY for the runner-up, and 300,000 CNY for the third-place finisher. Quarter-finalists will receive 100,000 CNY each.
